Testimonials

When Gus’s owners contacted me, it seemed they were at their wits end. Gus was overly rambunctious, jumping and mouthing, wasn’t listening, and was becoming a safety concern around their young daughter in the house, especially near the stairs.

We did one session and this was the owners feedback shortly after and I haven’t seen them since (which is my goal, NOT for you to be dependent on me). I follow along with them on social media and see photos posted with Gus in public, playing with and loving on their daughter, and overall living a great life together.

This is why I train. Gus desperately needed his people to understand him. They learned how to provide what he needs and communicate in a way he understood and things really clicked for them. This is still one of my favorite sessions to date! The owners really took everything to heart and are giving him the very best!

Kristy and Chance

Chance is a rescue that lived on the streets for the first year of his life. Strengthening his bond and trust in his owner, building confidence, learning to use a vehicle ramp for later in life, and decreasing reactivity on walks are all parts of his training plan. Kristy is such a dedicated and loving owner, I’m so thankful for such great clients and people in my life!

Arnold (Arnie) & Phil

Arnie was a rehoming case. He was an 8 month old, half border collie-half lab mix, and proved to have too much energy for his 70 year old owner. I took him in for a week and helped mold his behavior and helped find him a furever home.

He landed with a family friend and after our first free “go home” session promised with his adoption, I received these text messages.

Arnie was a very busy body and had an incredibly tough time settling and just hanging out. This picture with his yellow pig speaks volumes.

Arnie & Phil Continued

The last gray bubble in the text message made me so happy to see how quickly Arnie is progressing. I gave the owners a packet of bulleted hand outs, reviewing the important topics from each category.

Dakota & Remi

I received another (this) update 7+ months after our original sessions. These messages made my heart so happy. Remi was a velcro dog that struggled with some mild resource guarding issues. His owner worked hard on restructuring their relationship and sharpening up his obedience. She worked hard teaching an off switch and helping him understand boundaries. During our sessions, having Remi hold a stay while his owner moved into another room was far too tough. I’m so proud of this team!!

Taylor, Jake, and Mia

We worked on how to give leash pressure, teaching Mia what that means, and how to direct her via a leash. Taylor and Jake now know what a marker is, how and when to use it, what all that means, and it’s important. We are continuing to work on loose leash walking and learning a reliable recall for off leash freedom.

We’re going to keep this service pup and owner team anonymous but it was incredible to have the opportunity to help freshen up some skills. And it’s always great to see a dog work and be truly fulfilled.

Amy, Stewart, and Huck

Amy contacted me before the new puppy, Huck (left) even came home. We worked on cleaning up some of Stewarts (right) excited tendencies, leash walking for both Stewart and how-to’s for the new puppy, and place work & duration stays. I had the pleasure of running into her and Huck a couple months later in Lowes and they were crushing it! Amy was able to have Huck (under 6 months old) hold a down stay while we talked. He sat like a good boy while I pet him and was an all around well mannered pup!
